My definitve case against ANYONE buying Warner Bros.

- It fails the consumer welfare standard
- It won't create value for the economy
- And it lessens competition.

The notion that Europeans live in a repressive anti-free-speech hellscape because Twitter got fined is so funny to me.

I feel like all those LA residents who kept being told by dumb fucks in states halfway across the country that their city was a lawless flaming apocalypse that needed liberation.

She's got the charisma of a bin liner and speaks like a droning spin dryer on a quiet cycle.

Politico management genuinely tried to argue that because AI is crafted by coders, not journalists, it shouldn't be held to any sort of journalistic ethical standards, despite being widely adapted (poorly) to do, you know, journalism
Some rare good news: Journalists at the PEN Guild won their arbitration case against Politico, which deployed two separate faulty AI products (a "report builder" and a headline and summary generator on the homepage) without their knowledge or input.

That violated their contract, the arbiter found.
Journalists win a key battle over AI in the newsroom
PLUS: Artists fight for an AI transparency law in the belly of the beast, a Spotify mass deletion event, and an interview with a top video games journalist about AI and labor.
