Had a dream last night where I was in a loft, doing a yoga class, and then I realized that everyone in the space was some kind of dyke or queer Instagram influencer. It was like my feed had come to life. The trans carpenter fixing something over there, the lesbian housecleaner doing laundry... LOL

I am super duper allergic to Christmas. Partly in the literal sense (evergreens make me sneeze like nothing else), partly in that I find most Christmas decorating excessive, tacky and commercial. So when I say I LOVE these tree ornaments, I really mean it! 😂🦇

This is so unsurprising that it almost doesn't qualify as news, except that it went viral so a lot of people are talking about it. But it's interesting to watch the bluster and dismissal about it. Twitter has been a cesspool of propaganda bots and impostors for years at this point.
X's new location transparency feature shows that a slew of MAGA-branded accounts are apparently based outside the U.S., and also stirred speculative outrage over where the Department of Homeland Security account was created.

#manicure #extremityfetish I always try to do a one-polish manicure when I'm traveling. For this little jaunt to Montreal, I went with Hell Is Other People (Mooncat), which I did not pick because it matches the purple walls in Lasalle metro station, but I sure did photograph it there when I noticed!

Yeah, not sure it qualifies as a "loss" when it's done on purpose.
“Mexico has overtaken Canada as the largest buyer of US goods, marking the first time in nearly 30 years that Canada has not held the top spot, according to new data from the US Commerce Department.”

Love the ‘loses spot’….such a privilege to buy American goods. 🙄

Trans Day of Remembrance is supposed to be about holding space to grieve for the trans people who were murdered in the past year. I learned a long time ago that in fact most of the murders on record tend to be of trans sex workers, particularly women of colour - so it's not in fact clear whether ...

Alberta's government is engaged in something I can only describe as psychopathic politics.

What else do you call it when a government so set on pushing ahead with policies that WILL cause more trans youth to try to leave us?

When they'll trample on the charter to hurt these kids?

It's disturbing:

There's a particular feeling that I can't quite describe when I'm #editing a scholarly paper or a book and it cites some other scholarly paper or book I previously edited. A kind of pride, I guess? They rarely mention my name, but it still feels great to see them having an impact. 😁 #freelancerlife

I can't find an official notice anywhere, but the word is spreading through bi communities that longtime activist Loraine Hutchins passed away on Wednesday. My condolences to all who knew her. Loraine co-edited one of the earliest books on bisexuality in 1991. ...
Personal Me: Dammit, if 2025 wasn’t already fired, the death toll alone would do it. Bi activist Loraine Hutchins has left us. RIP. I still treasure my signed copy of BI ANY OTHER NAME, the ground-breaking anthology from Alyson Press that she co-edited w/ Lani Ka’ahumanu. 😢

My first piece for the newly launched queer health magazine @scripthealth.bsky.social takes a look at post-nonmonogamy. So happy to have been invited to contribute. More to come!
“You used to date multiple people. [...] But somewhere along the line, you stopped. Not because you decided it was wrong or bad to be nonmonogamous. But because nonmonogamy stopped working for you the way it once did.” @andreazanin.bsky.social breaks down ‘What is post non-monogamy?’ on Script:
What is post-nonmonogamy?
Dating outside the box shifts your perspective. So what happens if you decide you don’t want to be non-monogamous anymore?

“Pendant un temps, vous avez fréquenté plusieurs personnes. [...] Quoi qu’il en soit, vous avez arrêté. Pas parce que c’était mal, mais parce que la non-monogamie ne vous correspondait plus.” @andreazanin.bsky.social nous explique la vie ‘Après la non-monogamie’ sur Script —
Après la non-monogamie
Sortir du moule, c’est aussi changer de perspective. Et si un jour on ne se reconnaît plus dans la non-monogamie?

Today is International Men’s Day. So here’s to refugee men fleeing abuse, trans men denied healthcare, queer men bullied for being different, Black men racially profiled, disabled men excluded from work, and all the other men who fail at being “real men.” May we continue to cultivate our humanity.

It's true. This is what fully broken trust looks like. It's never putting so many eggs in that basket ever again. The world will never go back to the way it was before the orange menace took power, not in a dozen more administrations. Not in my lifetime.
The US will never regain its place in the world, because they will never again allow one country to control this much and risk endangering and killing tens of thousands of people if a single vote goes the wrong way.

"They say I'm strong," he said. "And I am."

He took a sip.

"They say I can overcome any hardship."

"Mm," said the witch.

"And I can. I do."

The witch said nothing.

"But I shouldn't have to!"

"No."

The witch held the hero as he wept.

"No, you shouldn't."
