A man: who, knowing his whole true self, cannot be used or possessed by any power other than himself, and whose life therefore is lived for life’s sake and never in the service of ruin, or pain, or hatred, or the dark.

So are you suggesting that we should consider how to provoke one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some?

I'm one of those curmudgeons who is unwilling to accept "changes in culturally accepted practices of worship attendance" as a reason to lessen our expectation that Christians be together at least weekly for corporate worship.

At the moment, I’m regrettably not reading Edgar Allan Poe whilst having cappuccinos and croissants in a dimly-lit quaint café on a cobblestone street in Prague during a snowstorm, so no, I’m afraid your email did not “find me well.”

“AI” isn’t a tool or technology or even a cluster of technologies with a misleading name. It’s the infrastructure at the foundation of a form of capitalism dependent on data brokering. We should be teaching our students about this and not teaching them about “responsible” use.

Journalist challenge: Use “Machine Learning” when you mean machine learning and “LLM” when you mean LLM. Ditch “AI” as a catch-all term, it’s not useful for readers and it helps companies trying to confuse the public by obscuring the roles played by different technologies. 🧪

Anarchism’s principal target is the authoritarian State (capitalist or socialist); its principal moral-practical theme is cooperation (solidarity, mutual aid).

Church is good, people. Take it from me.

Watching people walk up the aisle for Communion - those who have been here often and those who have not been here for a long time - my heart just spills out. 🕯

He’s been taken by ICE in Florida.

Paul Bojerski never gained official residency, but he checked in regularly with ICE for years. Then in July, at age 79, he was detained and sent to Alligator Alcatraz.

(Do not) ask me what it’s like to have several friends with the same first name, and to have a crush on one of them, so whenever the name comes up, friends will be like “oh *[Name]*?” and I get to be like “nope! a different person with this common name! a friend I don’t have a crush on actually!!!”
