One of the things I keep seeing in basically everything trying to put workflows on top of AI right now is just a staggering lack of humility

It’s people trying to make things for other people without at all understanding those people or what they do. Shades of the dot-bomb

Do not store your Bitlocker encryption keys on Microsoft's servers if your threat model includes governments or law enforcement. As this article points out, this is the result of a design choice Microsoft made. It didn't have to be this way. www.forbes.com/sites/thomas...
Microsoft Gave FBI BitLocker Encryption Keys, Exposing Privacy Flaw
The tech giant said providing encryption keys was a standard response to a court order. But companies like Apple and Meta set up their systems so such a privacy violation isn’t possible.

Little Brother is a good book to get teenagers to start thinking about things like privacy and surveillance more and that's about it
This is EVERYWHERE today. Please stop giving people bad advice. If wearing juggalo makeup and putting pebbles in your shoes even worked 10 years ago, they certainly don’t work now
I can't believe I have to say this, but please do not take revolutionary OPSEC advice from YA novels Cory Doctorow wrote almost twenty years ago.

Encoding all information in the world into your memory is neither possible nor adaptive even if you could; it should not be something you pressure yourself to do at every moment

Attention directs memory formation for a reason

Affinity systems in games are cool but I wish they were all multi layered it makes sense to not have affinity with a bow if all you were using were swords but there should be some value retained if you're just switching inside a type

this might end up being another normal distribution graph?

people that don't know what they're looking at at all will skip reading it

people who know enough to just glance through and see what's going on will get lazy about it eventually

middle part gets stuck trying to figure wtf they just made
the more uncomfortable corollary to this is that I think the days of humans _reading_ the code is also mostly gone. you're producing so much code now that a human reviewer is a massive bottleneck.

IMO, you need to shift validation strategies massively towards tests and flagging high risk code.

Many many many such workflows because this is about how we treat data in general. The difference between my data science network in understanding this vs my software engineer network on this is gargantuan
