The first time I visited Kennedy Space Center, my brother & I drove across FL during his spring break specifically so I could frolic in the rocket garden & geek out over every exhibit and piece of space memoribilia. I never dreamed I'd be here almost 20 years later, working a mission launch. 🥹🚀☀️

Support the voices you love in the fandom!
🎤 @strangenewpod.com patreon starts at $1/month! Everything helps (believe me - a podcast is a LOT of work)
👍🏾Subscribing, commenting and reposting on insta also makes a difference for cosplayers like me - it helps me be more visible and be chosen for gigs!
Been spending a little less money on dumb shit and a little more on various artists/journalists/podcasters.

Makes me feel like a network CEO putting together my own personal media company. Uplifting stuff, highly recommend going beyond social media to support people!

Dept. of Ed is reclassifying all the female dominated professions (nurse, therapist, speech pathologist, PA) as not having “professional” degrees, which makes it harder for them to get educational loans.

Another FUCKED UP thing this admin is doing to attack women’s power.

Take that shit to court!

I keep getting emails saying "Black Friday is early! Buy now!"

Hell no. I am purposely not buying things on Black Friday because of all these shitty retailers that abuse their employees while their C-suite takes huge profits for themselves. Shopping small & local again for Christmas this year.

Last month it was the Young Republicans praising Hitler. Last week it was Fuentes & Carlson criticizing "Jewry". This week, they're saying swastikas and nooses aren't hate speech. The rot is party-wide. www.seattletimes.com/nation-world...
U.S. Coast Guard will no longer classify swastikas, nooses as hate symbols
The military service, which falls under the Department of Homeland Security, has drafted a new policy that classifies such items “potentially divisive.”

Ayyy! My rep from CT!

Chris Murphy and his colleagues are speaking out, but we need more voices to join in and call for impeachment, trial, and a look into the 2024 election because I personally am not so sure those fucks didn't completely rig it.
The President of the United States just called for Democratic members of Congress to be executed. "HANG THEM", he posted.

If you're a person of influence in this country and you haven't picked a side, maybe now would be the time to pick a fucking side.

On this Trans Day of Remembrance, we remember the bright and courageous trans people whose lives were stolen by hatred. Their absence is felt across our city.

We will honor them by building a New York where every trans person can live safely, fully and freely.

Thank you @pattonoswalt.bsky.social for calling out Maher's absolute trash attitude and blatant refusal to see what our trans friends deal with from the media and society just for existing. I'm a cis straight white lady & the targeting they face sure is obvious to me!

Maher has sucked for ages.
PATTON OSWALT: These people are scared. They're being targeted. We're watching them be targeted right now. We're watching transgender people be targeted in a very aggressive way, so—

BILL MAHER: We are? Where?

OSWALT: Oh my god.

MAHER: Where are they being targeted?

A guy makes ONE tiny mistake (has a years-long friendship with the world's worst sex trafficker; brags about sexually harassing colleagues; is racist; says women are stupid) and his whole LIFE is blown up (does slightly fewer speaking engagements; keeps teaching at #1 university)??!?!?!?!?!
So Harvard is keeping this guy, but Claudine Gay had to step down over ginned up plagiarism accusations and bad-faith accusations of anti-Semitism.

Got it.
Larry Summers tells @theharvardcrimson.bsky.social

I have many male friends, colleagues, & a husband who get it. I feel able to vent to them about misogyny/patriarchy. I can't stomach placating mediocre - or worse - men as they remain unevolved & refuse to examine their own actions. Don't prop up this behavior; it won't serve you in the long run.
