Hard-hitting truth-telling from UCL Prof Anthony Costello….

“The Covid Public Inquiry is a devastating critique of medical advisers, civil servants and politicians who led the UK to the worst public health disaster in a century. More than 230,000 deaths.”

Today is #SurvivorsOfSuicideLossDay 💜

My new piece, 'Questions, Questions, Questions', shares the hard questions that followed and how they shaped grief after Steve’s death 💔

I’ve also shared a short video on navigating these moments with children.

A powerful piece from @drrachelclarke.com

"The collective amnesia of those damned by the Covid inquiry is pernicious and unforgivable..."

We will never forget. ❤️
"My NHS colleagues & I weren’t willing to let the bodies pile high in their thousands. Boris no longer mentions them at all."

My piece on the responses to the UK Covid-UK Inquiry report that try to airbrush the dead away.

Sincere thanks, @theobserveruk.bsky.social.

Apparently, according to Boris Johnson, covid bereaved are ‘wrangling on’ about deaths.

I have no words. Just utter contempt.

In black and white here you have it. 'Too little too late' and led by a 'chaotic and toxic' government. Without both my Grandma Sheila, and many others, may well not have died at that time and in that way.

Unforgivable ❤️💛💜

Tomorrow is a hugely important day.

At 4pm, the UK Covid-19 Inquiry will publish its report into the UK’s pandemic decision-making & political governance.

I dearly hope our political leaders & decision-makers will listen, learn &, above all, act on the findings.

Because there will be a next time.

The question “has there been a culpable state failure?” must surely fall into module 2, Core UK Gov’t decision-making & political governance.

The question on many HCW minds is surely “does the decision to downgrade PPE from FFP3 to FRSM on 13 Mar 2020 represent such culpability?”

On Thurs 20th, Lady Hallett publishes her module 2 report.

We wait with interest to see how it covers the deception wrought upon HCWs that: a) Covid is droplet/fomite, but not airborne b) Flimsy Fluid Resistant Surgical Masks are 'PPE' and will keep you safe.

Thanks @luckytran.com
Yesterday, history happened at the UN: For the first time hundreds of orgs signed a global pledge declaring that healthy indoor air is a human right.

Healthy indoor air is a key tool for preventing pandemics, building climate resilience, and increasing health equity. We need it everywhere!

On this World Suicide Prevention Day, I remember my peerless and extraordinary cousin Dan Kay and miss him greatly. Such a kind, generous and thoughtful man. Failed by the services which should have protected him. Far more needs to be done and understood #bemoredan #WSPD 💜
