Lots of people out there saying, "at least by fucking everything up they're showing how incompetent they are, which will turn voters against them."

I just wonder where in the world people get this hope. America made it all the way through the election in near-total ignorance. Why would that change?

IMPORTANT: Finland is building the world’s largest heat pump to warm homes in Helsinki. It would decarbonize the city’s district heating system by end of 2026.

“Helsinki has set the ambitious goal to become carbon neutral by 2030, and transitioning our heating system is crucial to achieving this.”

I could watch this all day
Look at this terrifying scene: happy, healthy animals running through co-located wind and solar energy farm cranking out clean energy in a grassy field.

I can see now why people would rather have a field of oil pumps and pipelines instead 🤦‍♂️

Well, well, well.

Seems not everyone agrees we must have methane-gas "firm" generation in our grids.

Have we been duped by the primary energy fallacy?

Critics of renewables often say that we cannot possibly replace the vast amount of fossil fuel we currently use with clean energy.

The good news is that we don’t have to. My article in Medium explains why.

The primary energy fallacy is the idea that all primary energy from fossil fuels must be replaced with an equivalent amount of clean energy.

BUT: This is not necessary because conversion losses do not need to be replaced. More than 2/3 of all primary energy is lost as waste heat.
