5000 people have signed up to run for office with @runforsomething.net in the last week. Between the election wins & the shutdown fury, we’re taking that momentum in to 2026.

Congrats to Shikole Struber (Troy, NY), Stephanie Yeh (Esopus, NY), Gabrielle Richards (North Tonawanda, NY), & Bryce Kaw-uh (Manchester, NH)—each flipped their seats blue. 🌊

Right, the answer isn't to abandon the party to these weasels.

The answer is to flood the party with people who will take it over and transform it.
Hey, a lot of people are talking about changing affiliation from Democratic to Independent.

Let me tell you why you shouldn’t do that in Colorado.

One of the main ways to get a primary challenge candidate on a ballot is to caucus for your party. You need to be registered as a Dem to caucus.

It was already going to be hard for 2026 congressional Dems to make a credible case on affordability - they simply can't promise much they'll be able to deliver while Trump is still president. All they had is being a check on Trump & Senate Dems just undercut that, too. Come ON.

This week's @runforsomething.net feel-good update: 129 wins & counting (including 36 red-to-blue flips!!) 4000+ new people signing up to run for office, and what it all says about the path forward for Democrats. rfsfeelgoodupdates.substack.com/p/rfs-feel-g...

Anyway if you’re like me it’s a good night to cancel a bunch of recurring Democratic monthly donations and increase my monthly recurring donation to @runforsomething.net

Important to understand this. There's a reasonable chance that your Dem Senator who voted against it and is acting mad now was in on the play. It's the same reason why they scheduled the surrender for AFTER the election this week. They didn't want people pissed at Dems right before an election.
The caucus meeting was just to orchestrate who would fall on the sword but not be up for a vote in 2026.
so currently defectors are:

Kaine (2030)
Shaheen (Retiring)
Hasan (2028)
Fetterman (2028)
Durbin (Retiring)
CCM (2028)
Rosen (2030)
King (2030)

Any deal that counts on GOP being good faith partners in governance misunderstands the modern Republican Party. Idiotic and out of touch!

This shit is why people don’t trust the Democratic Party.

So the oldest person ever to become president keeps falling asleep in his office during public events and there’s no big public discussion on how this is a coverup or how republicans are lying to us about how this government is running?

Democratic voters are pissed at Trump. Tuesday's Blue Wave election harnessed that energy and can lead the way to the midterms.

Cannot say enough good things about the inroads we have made here in my community and in rural PA. When your message is one of care and looking out for those you represent, the results speak for themselves.

EVEN in deep red rural PA.
Last week @runforsomething.net helped elect a socialist in Atlanta, a former Republican in rural PA & at least 122 others, (including 35 red to blue flips). We’ve been building the big tent - tight on values, flexible on policy, and most importantly, centered on community.

I rode the wave in 2018 and got elected to a local board (and have been re-elected twice). Running when there is momentum is easier! If you want to run for local office, now is a great time to start thinking about it and planning.

Talarico is one of the politicians that the Dem establishment is trying to undermine, as @amandalitman.bsky.social points out in this video.

If that’s where this is coming from, that is pretty pathetic.
