At about 1m20 the most non-elite US mall ninja shows up with a bafflingly seemingly self inflicted bleeding nose, tucks a shotgun under his taint before tossing a munition canister god knows where, then starts shooting at journalists. If you saw this in a war videogame you’d think it was broken.
Federal officers just came in and cleared the protest with tear gas. One officer asked press why we didn’t call 911 when the protesters were destroying the hotel and told us that we are bad Americans. Full video to come on @statuscoupnews.bsky.social

The Washington Post published a clear video of federal agents removing Alex Pretti's handgun moments before he was fatally shot. There's nothing in the video to suggest Pretti even reached for his weapon.

He's directing traffic. He steps inbetween ICE and two women who are being harrassed by them (one of whom was shoved to the ground for no reason), raises his hands and turns away from them and says "Okay! Okay!" to indicate he isn't going to be aggressive, at which point they start with pepper spray
He was helping direct traffic when federal authorities approached him. Less than a minute later he was dead.

One thing that irks me: people keep calling the folks on the streets in Minneapolis protestors. They are not generally there to protest, they are there to observe and document. This is the product of organizing and mutual aid. It is telling that these acts of citizenship are seen as protest!

I rolled credits on Blue Prince two nights ago. I must say, I'm impressed with how much this game still continues to open up to wider mysteries, and refuses to release me from its hooks.

I am so tired of looking for work day in, and day out. All while the current (fascist) administration actively makes it harder for me to find a position anywhere. Then they have the gall to raise the prices of everything so that what little money I do have depreciates in value.
