Tbh he has been very woke when it comes to cops for a long time. This is a new level of fedposting but it’s a difference of degree
The ground zero guy for hecking doggo social media gaming is talking like this now
“ICE agents, get out now because historically, this ends with you hanging from a lamppost and your body paraded through the streets.” - the …we rate dogs guy

Obviously Trump shouldn’t have it but personally I don’t really care about the Nobel Peace Prize. It feels like a relic of a bygone age and I have a hard time mustering up any feeling about it whatsoever

The import of this ruling: Foreign citizens in the United States—including green card holders—can be arrested for political speech and imprisoned for months or even years before being given a meaningful opportunity to challenge the constitutionality of their arrest and imprisonment.

Hell yeah. Pat Ryan is a good egg
.@PabloReports: Stephen Miller seems to be operating sort of as a shadow president at this point. Is there any legal liability he could face at the end of this presidency?

Ryan: There’s going to be legal—and I think criminal—liability for multiple members.. certainly Stephen Miller.

The Dems will have to step off this “training” refrain soon. It serves a useful purpose while facts are still percolating out but it will be OBE
just a reminder that we aren’t even seeing the worst of what is happening in Minneapolis from someone detailed at the Whipple Federal Building yesterday

we often talk about “what anime would you adapt into a movie” but here is a reverse: what movies would you adapt into an anime?

the thing about “ICE needs training” is that Jonathan Ross was a ten year DHS vet and a firearms instructor

he’s the kind of guy they get training from

the whole institution is rotten, throw it out
Democrats officially going all in on the mealy mouthed “ICE needs training” narrative.

No. ABOLISH ICE.
WARNER: It used to take 5 to 6 months to get trained. They've now lowered the training period to 47 days. Why 47 days? Because Donald Trump's the 47th president. Tell me that's a rational approach

KERNEN: I'm not taking that bait

WARNER: Joe! You can't pick your facts

Leaving aside that it’s the right thing to do, there is just such huge opportunity for ambitious young politicians who lean forward on this stuff. Seems silly to say of someone who’s already a senator, but, career-making stuff

It’s because the Shirley vid was trending on Twitter and its RW cousins and they do everything for content
my dad says he doesn’t get why these ICE chuds can’t stay upright while doing almost nothing while he runs 10+ miles with his friends on the same icy roads lol

Minnesotans are built different and idk why you’d try to invade in the winter time unless you’re just unfathomably stupid

Counterpoint: once you’re already wealthy who gives a shit. Plus Trump promised you that you could sexually coerce your subordinates again
Maybe the most fascinating belief among the billionaire class, especially the Silicon Valley set, has been their confidence that if they blow up the specific conditions and institutions that put them on top, they will certainly come out even higher on top
Congratulations to all the bankers, hedge-fund managers, private-equity honchos, tech titans, corporate executives and op-ed writers for backing the man who will do more to undermine the system that made them insanely wealthy than any other presidential candidate in their lifetimes.

The sick part is the most likely outcome is they would just retire to an unimaginably cushy life of book sales and speaker’s fees. Or just, like, get a new job

Give them Secret Service protection who gives a fuck. The fascists are bullies, once their leader is brought low they’ll slink away
With Trump going full authoritarian on Venezuela-Greenland, ICE, and the Fed, the response has to be serious. Four Republican senators (Tillis, McConnell, Murkowski, Collins?) could announce they’ll caucus for now with the Dems to give them control of the Senate to check Trump.

Once we the people take back power we’re doing Truth Commissions. No reconciliation on offer
Greg Bovino has officially kicked off door-to-door raids. ICE/CBP goons are seen blocking an entire block, while Bovino and his Gestapo personally go door-to-door. (St. Paul, MN. January 11, 2026)

Bondi and Bove to jail for life, fuck a pardon
The total capture of the DOJ, seemingly with very little pushback or resistance, is one of the most striking examples of the capitulation of American elites in the face of authoritarianism. It’s been less than a year, and federal prosecutions or investigations are already completely discredited.
This is just one more example of a much broader pattern: The Department of Justice targeting Trump's political enemies with made-up accusations of wrong-doing.

This is the sort of statement that was expected from every university president and law firm partner over the last year. That those statements weren’t made played a huge part in where we are now and people will remember.

This mirrors the “going out” phase of the Chinese NOCs. In their case it was that they couldn’t take technical risk due to equipment and skills, so they took political risk due to an industrial policy mandate and backstop. Matches Trump & his goons fetishizing oil but lacking any technical expertise
The funniest thing about Trump II's resource imperialism is that they have focused on all the hard to access reserves, whether due to climatic conditions (Greenland), political & market conditions (Venezuela), or conflict conditions (Ukraine, DRC), when acquiring them through the market is so easy.
