I met some of my heroes in Tokyo this month:

•Yoko Shimomura (Composer: Kingdom Hearts series) She was in the lobby at the Uematsu concert, I wasn’t expecting to see her! @midiplex

Nobuo Uematsu said during his concert that Square Enix asked him to write No Promises to Keep in English so that they could use it for a worldwide audience. However he personally prefers the Japanese lyric version. So far the Japanese version has only been played live by Con TIKI

This really was the first time Shiratori and Uematsu performed together live. That's incredible considering "Melodies of Life" was one of the biggest hits of her career and Uematsu wrote it.
