I figure the cartridge slot is probably fine but the drive belt on the disk will need replaced as they all do. I've never owned a Twin Famicom before! Love this color

BIG thanks to my buddy @akasaka_spk who spotted this gorgeous red Twin Famicom at a Hard Off in Chiba and agreed to pick it up for me. ¥5000. It is untested and missing the ac adapter (easy enough to replace).

I found this cool photo of Dragon Quest 1's development team, taken back in Autumn 1985. I don't recognize everyone in the picture but you can see Yuji Horii and Akira Toriyama standing next to each other in the center. And the second person on the right is the game's director, Koichi Nakamura.
