Seems like if the goal was really "deportation" they'd be paying for more planes, not more prisons. It's not like they're arresting people that fast, so they must be intending to hold them for longer.
WaPo - ICE plans to speed up deportations by funneling new detainees to large-scale warehouses holding 5,000 to 10,000 people each, located in Virginia, Texas, Louisiana, Arizona, Georgia and Missouri. Sixteen smaller warehouses would hold up to 1,500 people each. www.washingtonpost.com/busine...

Well those people have absolutely been vindicated.

The story is insane. The acting head of cyber security, a Noem crony, repeatedly demanded to see highly classified information he didn’t need access to, and when staff set up a lie detector test as a condition to grant him access, he failed it. So DHS suspended the staffers.

Weiss can't beat Noem's propaganda broadcasts.
The image of Kristi Noem at CECOT and the saga of the Venezuelans the US government exiled to a notorious gulag should be seared into America's collective memory.

But displays of inhumanity were a normalized phenomenon in 2025.
