Toonie’s done good things for Glasgow and Scotland but how many times we can lose games in exactly the same way before wondering if maybe we need to change if we want different outcomes?

Gotta love the All Blacks in the run up to a Murrayfield test. Every time they come here a camp insider gives Scotland the big ‘un, showers praise like confetti, and generally gives the impression the ABs will have their work cut out to keep it under 50.

They’ve never lost here.

Restructuring the pro game in Wales must be incredibly difficult but it’s hard to imagine a crueller way of doing it than what the Welsh union seems to be proposing.

Good win for Glasgow vs Bulls but genuinely could’ve gone either way. Warriors back row looked very sharp indeed - GTownsend will be thrilled to see Dempsey fit and firing again. #URC

Absolutely refuse to believe this wasn't deliberate
Quite an unfortunate place to drift off into an ellipsis.

At least Finn Russell will have options when he hangs his boots up, then.

I did the Brighton to Eastbourne coastal walk and took some photos along the way. Like of this gate, which doesn't ask you how good you are at your job.

This article sets out the Townsend problem in a nutshell. Ben White is reportedly one of the players Falcons are tracking. It also says Edinburgh are interested in signing him.

If White asks Toonie for advice, who is he speaking to? Newcastle’s consultant or Scotland’s head coach?

Another BKT URC championship is about to kick off and I still haven't the remotest clue who BKT are or what they do. Googled "BKT" and it could be be an Indian tyre company or Albania's oldest bank.

Whoever it is, thanks and good on ya #BKTURC2026

Imagine how big a superstar Andrew Cotter would be if the BBC still showed big sports all the time. He's brilliant

This is great. Golf Digest relives Steve’s loss to Tom Lehman in the 1995 Ryder Cup singles - the most heroic beating a golfer ever took: www.golfdigest.com/story/the-ry...
The Ryder Cup that Seve Ballesteros won by losing
Across all those heroic seasons, the greatest match Seve Ballesteros ever won was a singles match he lost 30 years ago.

Watching #Coldwater and wondering if we’ll ever get a TV drama where a family from a Scottish rural idyll moves to Coventry or Reading or Croydon or somewhere and gets into all sorts of scrapes with the colourful locals.

I always remember when Anne Robinson tried to do her school ma’am act on Ricky Hatton on Celebrity Weakest Link.
AR: “Ricky - you were the weakest link in that round. Why do you think that is?”
RH: “Probably because I get punched in the head for a living, Anne.”

Superb team effort there to get a try at the end, only the third England have conceded. Let's be honest, that's 18 points less than the average margin of victory which is just the sort of straw we at the Scottish Rugby Blog and @scotrugbypod.bsky.social love...

Weirdest story of the day. A Tesco in London keeps being ram-raided but nothing is stolen - someone seems to be doing it purely for the love of the game
Who keeps crashing cars at speed into the front of a specific Tesco Express in east London? It’s happened four times in the last three weeks. It looks like a robbery - but London Centric has learned nothing is stolen and it appears to be the same driver. www.londoncentric.media/p/tesco-expr...
The mysterious Tesco Express car attacker
Someone really wants to destroy a supermarket in Stratford, to the exasperation of low-paid supermarket staff who are having to pick up the pieces.

Some conservatives are saying that Kilmeade’s “Just kill them” comment is less horrifying when you see it in context.

So here’s a longer clip, where you hear almost 4 minutes of Fox couch banter before he says it.

And, uh, it’s not much better. At all.
