I cast WEBB FUCKERY!!!!!

Finally finished my model of LNWR 687, one of Webb's rather goofy "double single" locomotives, this one being a 2-2-2-2 and is similar enough to the Chopper tanks that I was able to model the bulk from the aforementioned, then eyeball of Webby bits.

Hello after a massive hiatus!

I've struggled a bit with bluesky as getting the same level of engagement as Twitter used to have is tricky and also various things offline

But I hope to make a few posts showing what I've been up to!

Hopefully getting back to regular postings now. Much parcels action on 10,11 & 12. One of the Longsight 08s is the centre of attention for a young fan on platform 10, as parcels are loaded on platform 11. I should say 1985 or 86.

Speaking of curved platforms (which I sort-of was), here is Bristol Temple Meads with D163 "Leicestershire & Derbyshire Yeomanry" on the vans and a '120' in the background. It's 1970, so I probably have LZ III on. 📷 c. Andy Kirkham. Click the link for his Flickr pages.

As a spotter I was oblivious of the difference between a Class 45 and a Class 46 - they were all just Peaks (and I despised them all) - so it is only when identifying the loco for this caption that I ...
