Ted Cruz tor President is the worst idea since Donald Trump for President.
Some of the attention to historical detail in "Death by Lightning" is impressive, but I'm almost certain"gimp" was not in any kind of usage until the 20th century.

It also helps that DoD has absolutely no case whatsoever.
I swore an oath to the Constitution in 1986. I've upheld it through 25 years of service and every day since I retired.

If Trump's trying to intimidate me, it won’t work. I’ve given too much to our country to be silenced by bullies who care more about power than the Constitution.

The 20 biggest political donors on the Forbes billionaires list have collectively given nearly $5 billion between 2015 and 2024.

We must get Big Money out of politics.

No one from either party should be able to buy an election.

Maybe I'm being complacent but doesn't this nonsense yet thrown out the moment the Judge Advocate realises that the case consists entirely of a video in which the defendant insists that members of the military do not have to follow illegal orders?

I really hope there aren't many serving personnel watching this who believe "do as you're told and don't worry about the law" is good advice.
BLITZER: I want to be precise. Should members of the US military obey clearly illegal orders?

McCLAIN: You're asking an enlisted person for their opinion on what they think is legal. That's a pretty slippery slope. Follow your commander in chief. That's the oath that you took

Alternatively: just don't believe it. Period.

Because you won't see it. Because it isn't true.

Can you imagine if Ronald Reagan was brought back from the dead and someone told him a Republican President was repeating verbatim Kremlin proposals to conquer a pro-western European Ally?

No amount of electricity would keep Reagan's reanimated heart beating.

Blue Labour isn't a campaign group. It's a sub-heading for Maurice Glasman's eccentric and colourful observations about the Labour Party.

It's diverting enough if you enjoy that sort of thing, but not to be confused with anything approaching interesting or coherent ideology.
In the 15 years Labour have entertained Glasman, I cannot think of one single occasion where he has publicly criticised attacks on working class people, shown working class people solidarity, supported a single working class struggle.

He has enjoyed being a Lord though.

"I've deleted that post but I'm very much resurrecting the argument here. Let's go, bitches."
I've deleted my post about how I talk about my book Vs how my publishers talk about it because

a) people thought that was a genuine blurb, FFS

b) people told me to stop whining about having a publisher

c) people told me to get better at promo

I have no idea why my post got people so mad

Misinformation is one of the world's biggest threats to public health. And governments are not doing enough to protect us.

Social media companies should be held accountable for spreading harmful misinformation in that same way we hold manufacturers responsible for spreading harmful chemicals.

Harriet Tubman was the first woman to lead US Army troops into combat. The battle took place during the Civil War in South Carolina where she lead 150 soldiers and freed 750 slaves.

Since Fort Bragg has some unfortunate naming issues, I want to jump start an effort to someday rename it Fort Tubman.

The war has intensified under Trump. There is no measure by which he has not been an abject failure over Ukraine.

The latest idea of Google translating Russia's full wish list and handing it Zelenskyy just shows the paucity of imagination or interest in the WH.
Keep in mind that this serial liar also promised a hundred times during the campaign that he would be able to end the war “in 24 hours” with “one phone call” to Putin because he has “a great relationship” with him, “knows just what to say to him,” & “it won’t even be that hard.”

In some ways, Kemi Badenoch is a thoroughly modern politician. She doesn't come with answers or even pretend that she does.

Instead, she brings peevish fury directed at the woke elite.

Like Trump, she's here to be angry on your behalf. Unlike Trump, she's still vaguely expected to have policies.
It really is so absurd to claim "I get small business because I worked in a MacDonalds once and what business needs is another massive costly upheaval in four years, just as they have absorbed the last change." Even before you add the fact that she is unlikely to be Tory leader by next summer.
Badenoch's arrogantly delivered, noxiously apocalyptic assault on employment rights aside, it's quite something to claim that only you understand business, then ask business, instead of adjusting to a new law, to plan on the remotest chance that you will become PM and undo it all in four years.🤣 ~AA

When business leaders call for "hard choices" they mean "tax someone else and/or cut their services". When they call for "stability" they mean "don't tax or regulate us further - but also do the changes we're lobbying for".

When they call for "certainty" they are asking for that which nobody gets.
