It’s strange to me that not that long ago the NWSL was quite possibly the premier women’s sports league on the planet and instead of acting like that they are acting like MLS.
DC Power of the Gainbridge Super League have extended an offer for free agent Trinity Rodman that the NWSL can't currently match due to the salary cap.

Jessica Berman: "We want Trinity in the NWSL and we will fight for her."

I think paying a good baseball player that you really want the salary he was always going to get is probably a good idea

Trying to understand what it means when a club trades $200k in GAM for an international roster spot and a 2nd round pick in the MLS SuperDraft

Pretty cool that 12.99 will now get you access to a mind bending drama based on highly structured and inscrutable rules with themes of identity and free will set to a backdrop of corporate desperation and overreach and also severance is on there I guess
NEWS: MLS will no longer be behind a separate paywall on Apple TV beginning in 2026.

MLS Season Pass will no longer exist, and all MLS games will be available on the Apple TV streaming service.

In retrospect “I’m going to grow our league by charging 80 dollars to watch it” was a strange plan

i mean i was just thinking earlier today that it has been a few years since we've fundamentally changed how the league works
November 13, 2025 at 9:54 PM
It took me like six years to get my dad to understand the away goals tiebreaker and then MLS just got rid of it and now I’m gonna have to explain that there are divisional champs who simultaneously are and are not champions but also the playoffs have a losers bracket and that’s just the apertura and

Can’t wait for the Seahawks to break everybody’s heart in the playoffs

Yeah this almost ruined the show for me. If you wanted a not hot person for this role boy did you fail miserably but then the show wouldn’t be as good because it wouldn’t have Keri Russell
When they said Keri Russell wasn't hot in The Diplomat. I got so mad I had to go outside.
What’s your all time favorite Hollywood Homely fail? When a woman is meant to be unattractive but she’s gorgeous. Thinking of how Safety Not Guaranteed has a key moment where a man’s ex is in the script old and no longer attractive and she’s a knockout who the movie still plays as old.

Well the soccer team I like did really bad in a very stupid and embarrassing way. Nothing to do but log off and take a walk or something. No fun to be had online right now.

Yes the format is dumb, but it's the format and it was managed terribly by Seattle's players and staff over the last month.
November 8, 2025 at 11:50 PM
I still think the format is aggressively stupid and no result would have changed that, but after that performance it would be difficult to argue that Seattle deserved anything other than what they got. Fair play Loons go beat San Diego or Portland.
we've played like 200+ minutes of this matchup and Seattle have scored six and conceded two. If Minnesota find two goals here they could win on penalties and go through despite never once leading or being very good. I think this format is stupid as hell man
November 8, 2025 at 11:46 PM
Well. 100% self inflicted. Good work from Minnesota to take advantage of what they could control here. Seattle have earned this exit in the last half hour.

I would sub Yeimar off personally. Don’t like how kinda fighty he’s been and he’s on a yellow and you dont want to give up that advantage.
November 8, 2025 at 10:18 PM
So Seattle are obviously pretty well positioned here, but they are by NO MEANS home and dry. Ref could level this with a dodgy penalty or Nouhou could go full Nouhou. Need to get another goal before trying to see this one out.
November 8, 2025 at 10:13 PM
If I were Eric Ramsay I would have very clearly instructed my players not to do red card stuff. It would have been in my team talk. This is what happens when you have a young, inexperienced manager.
November 8, 2025 at 10:09 PM
well that's a plot twist. What a bummer for Minnesota who despite not ever really being in this series were/are actually STILL VERY MUCH IN IT
November 8, 2025 at 9:58 PM
So now Minnesota is down one goal at home with an obvious advantage in penalties despite the fact the score is still 6 to 3 across the 220 minutes we've been doing this lol

Yeah if you just whiff a clearance that should reset the offside line
