Heard a guy in a Ted Talk a few years ago who said within an ant colony, most ants would be completely at a loss if they came upon a log in their path. Only, there are usually one or more ants with genetic mutations that cause them to try to go around the log. IDK but maybe that's me - a Random Ant.

I've enjoyed many Michael Connelly #Bosch books and tv shows, but gotta admit, the whole "good cop with unshakable principles who nonetheless breaks the rules for the sake of REAL justice" schtick is getting tiresome. Too many thugs, boneheads and racists have put on that cape.
