I've heard reports of 2 scholarly presses using AI to index and copyedit books. Both reports from authors who were deeply dissatisfied with the quality of the work. Both authors paid to have the work redone by humans. Authors need to demand human copyeditors and indexers! Their work deserves it.

as someone who lives nextdoor to both supportive housing and public housing, i need people to understand that the best locations for both are going to be the central neighborhoods in a metropolitan area, where there is easy and reliable access to services and jobs.

RE starbucks picket line--the relevant detail is "picket line, do not cross." Pass that along. Proclaiming that you are in no danger of doing so because you are too aesthetically pure to let Starbucks coffee pass your lips is...unhelpful and does not give the impression you perhaps imagine it does.
