I think about this occasionally. But as long as you don't help people *solely* for your own benefit, I think it's okay.
Just because you get something out of it, doesn't mean that was your reason for helping. And if it was, you're crossing the line into manipulation.

Something I've realized about myself over the years is that I depend a lot on others' strength for my own.
Take streaming for example. I feel a lot more confident when my friend or someone I know is in chat, but when I'm on my own interacting with a new chatter, I feel pathetic.

The older I get, the more I realize the inherent flaw in capitalism. The goal is to make money. The goal is NOT to better humanity.
Companies don't do things to better peoples' lives. They do things to make money.

PSA: Do NOT plug a space heater into an extension cord or power strip! Most of them are not rated for the high power draw of a space heater and it can cause them to overload, overheat, and start fires.
Space heaters should be plugged into well-grounded wall outlets with 3ft clearance around them.
