Might be a controversial take? I find the occasional low-scoring ugly football game more interesting than a game where both teams just exchange touchdowns on every possession. There is no suspense to that. No drama. It's supposed to be a challenge and a slog sometimes.

Pitt was going to lose either way, but your head coach telling everybody its highest profile game in ... four years? ... didn't matter just adds to the embarrassment of the blowout. No serious coach at a serious program does that. Can't do that. Game mattered, too!

Pitt's probably dropped two potential touchdowns today on different drives and did not score a touchdown when it started a drive inside the 15. There's your game.

Mike Holmgren once said replay review should have the "100 drunk guys in a bar" mindset, where a play should only be overturned if 100 drunk guys in a bar all agree.

This ACC review process is highlighting why that is a necessary mindset.

No. The team was having its rookie dinner and Frank just happened to be having a separate birthday dinner at the same restaurant

Wait .... it was THAT dinner? Jesus christ.
I think Jack Hughes being out for 2 months after slicing open his finger at a dinner for Barstool’s “Frank the Tank” is the funniest injury in NHL history, surpassing the time Brent Sopel threw out his back picking up a cracker off the floor.

Jeremiyah Love is the best player I have seen in college football this season and I am not sure there is a close second.

Pitt's offense has had opportunities to make this a game and has wasted all of them. Dropped pass on the first series. Starting inside the 15 and not scoring a touchdown. Pick six. Offense has no-showed.

I do not like listening to Gus Johnson because he makes every game about him.

I do not like listening to Joe Tessitore because he makes every play and moment sound like it is the most dramatic play and moment that has ever happened.

The two-minute warning was coming. Notre Dame was not snapping that ball unless they got somebody to jump. Unbelievable self destruction by Pitt all over the field and sidelines. Just taking a huge shit all over the field.

Heintschel is having a real "welcome to big-time college football" game but Pitt's coaching staff is doing him a massive disservice. Not helping him at all with play-calling or anything.
November 15, 2025 at 6:24 PM
Pitt's defense has mostly held its own so far. Offense looks like it is playing about 16 players on every snap that are all bigger and faster than their 11 players.
November 15, 2025 at 6:01 PM
Does Pitt's playbook have a screen pass in it. Today might be a good day to break it out.

That face-off on the game-tying goal seemed like a real clusterfuck.
November 14, 2025 at 9:55 PM
Kind of amazing they even got one point, but man are they bleeding points away that are right there on the table for them to take.
November 14, 2025 at 9:47 PM
Seriously, what is going on with Parker Wotherspoon where he Charlie Conway's a puck at least once a game.
November 14, 2025 at 9:10 PM
Oh my god just start the game.

Literally a Twilight Zone episode
This is indistinguishable from being a trailer for a high concept psychological horror movie. Which is fitting because a likely outcome would be AI grandma convincing the 10 year old to end his life in order to join her in AI heaven.
New insult to life itself just dropped

Every time I see Alan Eck referee a game he fucks it up beyond belief.

These Patriots uniforms are making me think there is something wrong with my eyes wtf.

Bad defense. Bad goaltending. Bad depth. Maybe unsustainable goal-scoring. Are the Toronto Maple Leafs ... bad? Every indication so far seems to be that they are. How did they get here? Can it be fixed? This is grim. adamgretz.substack.com/p/are-the-to...

MLB's GM meetings and Winter meetings used to be non-stop hot-stove action and trades. We get none of that anymore. Sad.
