I finished The Shadowed Sun by @nkjemisin.bsky.social last night, and oh boy did I have some restless dreams. Perhaps the nightmare got to me. I'm sad that the series is over, but it was such a well-formed ending.

Here's my 2026 request. Manufacturers need to stop using USB-C ports without properly implementing the protocol. I hate having to dig out a A-C cable and then a C-A adapter to sync something to my laptop. It's like, 1 resistor!

I added this lockscreen widget on a whim, and it’s ended up being one of my favorite features. The center shows which band has the most spots, and the ring show its proportion of all spots. So right now, 10m has about 2/3 of all spots for my grid. #QRV #HamRadio #AmateurRadio #iOSDev

I'm working on performance for #QRV tonight. Parsing live spots is slow, and I was doing it on the main thread, blocking UI load. I'm moving some parts to background, but the Live Spots may be empty or old on first load. It should only happen when the app first starts, so I think it's an OK trade.
