Okay, it looks like the QRZ band colors meet accessiblity guidelines for contrast, so I'm going to use those. It satisfies my desire to use a familiar touch point for users, and things will be much more readable!

This was definitely a case of "you don't know what you don't know," and thankfully someone got in touch to share their feedback.

Current colors were taken from Hamclock to give users a familiar touch point, but I'm going to have to adjust them, I think.

At least in the USA, it’s OK to use Meshtastic as long as you don’t operate “as a ham.”

It’s seems to be specific to certain users, but I’m not able to replicate it with my keys, so it’s been a hard one to track down.

And that it’s very modern! There are so many incredible advances every year in operating modes, gear, etc. There’s nothing antiquated about it.

I really have no idea how these will affect my server load, so I'm going to keep a very close eye on it. I have also limited folks to 20 DXCC "subscriptions" for now, but if things go well, I'll probably raise the limit.
