Hillary Cass claimed (15/02/26) on national TV that back in the 1970s trans people didn't exist, it was just young boys who later grew up to be gay. Aside from the fact this is categorically wrong and an act of historic revisionism, it also demonstrates her complete lack of knowledge in the field...

15 years ago today I arrived on Downing Street in a cage.
I've seen off Cameron, May, Johnson, Truss and Sunak and I'm still going strong.
Only two Prime Ministers have ever done longer stints here: William Pitt the Younger and Sir Robert Walpole.
Bill and Bob - I'm coming for you...

*Academic sells history off to the highest bidder*

There, BBC, we sorted that headline for you

If he truly feels *a connection* to the find, as the article claims, would he not have donated it to a museum?

Don't you hate it when fighting age men flee their own country, leaving their families behind, then expect other people to give them a handout.

This is why it's so bizarre when people are like "How am I supposed to explain all this trans stuff to my children" because Enid fuckin' Blyton managed to do it in one page in NINETEEN FORTY TWO.

Get a grip, for gods sake.

To give you an idea of how deranged the UK has become about gender stuff, here's Enid Blyton - the absolute avatar of classic English conservatism and a huge fan of racist "gollywogs" - casually describing a gender non-conforming kid in the 1940s and having their friends be totally cool with it.

It’s an RNA world. RNA is posited to be the first genetic material, arising 4 billion years ago. It can store information and act as an enzyme. Eventually, it duplicated its information into a more stable form, DNA.

When Labour came to power in 1997, a staggering 283,866 people were waiting 6 months or more for an operation.

By 2007 the number was down to 199.

Just one astonishing fact I came across while recording this and it's a reminder that government really can change things - for the better.
As the rat infested Palace of Westminster literally sinks into the mud, there's talk that British parliamentary democracy might follow suit.

It's all lightness and larks in my latest for @noosphere.app

Ok. I lied last week. Still harvesting.
The leeks are tiny and probably could stay in the ground longer, but the shrews have woken up and a quarter of them disappeared. They are leaving the sprouts alone though.

Not even a week until lent and I'm already having to buy food that I grew and have run out of on the allotment.
Buying onions? What madness is this?
(So glad I'm not a peasant in the Middle Ages or a poor person in a food desert today.)
