I'm guilty of that myself sometimes, but this is again a good reminder to become less emotional towards tetrapod taxonomy. They're just labels helping our monkey brains to understand biodiversity.

In late August Renesto et al. published a paper where they described a specimen of Lariosaurus valceresii that preserves the skin, even outlining the body and limbs as well scales. I must say that I am happy that it is very very close to what I had hypothesized 😍

Last week the German Meteorological Society warned that "the 3-degree limit could be exceeded as early as 2050".

New paper alert! In our new paper @plosone.org, lead author Arianny Storari collected, reared, and analyzed decay and disarticulation of hundreds of aquatic insects, and compared them to Crato Formation fossils to figure out what happened to them before they fossilized.
