One year ago today I won the Taskmaster Live Experience - the final was me and four members of the same family. They were joking about giving me honorary family membership - they all looked betrayed when I beat them. Sorry, not sorry. 😅

Every day at the grotto we all do a "family photo" here is yesterday's (a snowflake) and today's (elf delivery)

Lately I've been so humbled and grateful to receive a lot of really positive comments and feedback from friends/audiences on my efforts in Stand Up Comedy, it's really affirming to me that I've made the right choice to pursue comedy more actively. Monday night's online gig went so brilliantly, and I had a lovely message from the organisers to say they want me to be a headliner with them in the future - I'm very proud to have reached that level in their view already. Plus, due to them keeping details under wraps (understandably) I was unexpectedly sharing the lineup with one of my favourite professional comedians - Mark Watson! I love making people laugh, I love people making me laugh - it is my life and I'm glad to be able to make a little bit of money from it here and there too. The me from 10 years ago wouldn't have had the means or the motivation to do this, but I'm pleased to have found my calling with it and be embracing my passion in such an active way. I'm also grateful for the people who enable me to pursue my goals like this, and to everyone who has worked with me along the way. Insert Laughter Here have some exciting new projects in the works (details coming soon) and one last show in 2025 in November. Our 2026 is already shaping up brilliantly with some further reaching venues, and we'll be aiming to be back at some fringe festivals over the summer again too. I have a few other performing engagements of my own in the closing months of the year, not directly comedy for some of them, but my improvisation chops will come in particularly handy. To everyone who has said a nice thing, I'm so grateful for you. To everyone who laughs, you help bring joy to my heart. X

Meet John Makepeace, a medical sales rep from New York, with a hideous hairdo and surprisingly alright fashion sense.

He learned the truth behind a murder, but unfortunately got himself murdered for it.
