anybody have sleeper christmas movies? today is the day my dad can no longer be stopped, and i am so unearthly weary of a christmas story and national lampoon's christmas vacation. he takes poorly to anything really novel (shot down tokyo godfathers last year) but soothing-yet-unfamiliar might do

have decided to do a purge of not very good flannels because they took up way too much space in my drawer. what follows is a very scientific ranking.
weird texture but nice weight. strangely stiff, cut short. makes you look like a steven universe background character. ultimately awkward. 4/10, toss

ah, see, i wisely planned to support my art and became a USian public school teacher, a reliably remunerative and secure career that's great for your blood pressure and leaves lots of energy at the end of the day for creative pursuits. completely gray hair at 38 is extremely normal
I know we know this, but authors need to get better at talking about how they actually make their money. Stop pretending it's from the books.

since i came into possession of a steamer basket i have been able to experimentally determine the upper limit on good dumplings i can eat and the results are... look, science doesn't have all the answers
my problem with gyoza is that they normally come in an order of about 6, but what I really need is 100 of them

3, 6, and 7 are pretty much my whole thanksgiving dinner every year, plus cranberries. all the turkey and stuffing in the world could be carried off by a mysterious whirlwind and i wouldn't notice
with charity and goodwill, i must here part ways with rolls.

november is just backwards march, but it's so much pleasanter. it's cozy to put the year to bed and a pain in the ass to drag it back out again

i actually like microgenres so long as they are descriptive and not prescriptive. it's neat to notice little recurring themes and connections and explorations. i've proposed a few. oldest daughter horror. sensiblecore. i think i may be developing a strain i'm going to call "haunted forest preserves"

ok after blundering around for an hour, this game is very fun even when you get chucked out of the succession in the first chapter like i did. my second prince of xuan blundered around uselessly while various competent women saved his ass. will try again with more canniness next time
