she's watching the national dog show with my dad. I'd worry for her self esteem but she knows she's cool and great

wherever you land on thanksgiving food discourse, we can all agree that the roll of excess pie crust full of cinnamon and brown sugar is the best part

sent the above to my sister and got this back
November 26, 2025 at 3:14 PM
chilly this morning
November 26, 2025 at 2:55 PM
and last unless I've forgotten one somewhere, old lady plaid, several sizes too big, not very warm at all, but, the fuckin hood gets it there, 6/10 keep
November 25, 2025 at 11:23 PM
100% functional, fits okay if slightly long in the arms, warm enough, inoffensive to look at, just all around the last pretty ok choice 6/10 keep
November 25, 2025 at 11:22 PM
excellent weight, ugly as sin, hood, just the tiniest bit too tight, damn my shoulders, but as long as I'm not doing anything ambitious it's fine 8/10
November 25, 2025 at 11:20 PM
kinda worn out, a little short, another shoulder problem with tight arms. has a hood, though! fuckin love a hood. sadly just doesn't fit super well, so 4/10 toss
November 25, 2025 at 11:19 PM
way too big, which is actually kinda cozy, soft and warm but no pocket which I hate. 6/10, waffling
November 25, 2025 at 11:17 PM
the platonic ideal of a flannel. ok weight, good pocket placement, nice fit, makes me look like a little boy whose mom made him dress up for christmas eve mass, 7/10 keep
November 25, 2025 at 11:16 PM
kinda like the chinky plaid, a little short, not quite up to my shoulders (my shoulders are notoriously difficult to contain by mortal means), kinda on the line but turns out to have a hole in it. 5/10 -1 for tear, toss
November 25, 2025 at 11:14 PM
comfy, warmish, don't love the colors but they don't quite sear the eye? no pocket, which is a terrible choice. 5/10 would toss but my mom gave it to me for christmas
November 25, 2025 at 11:13 PM
understated and pleasing plaid, just shy of goth, excellent weight, good pocket placement, almost perfect. if it had a hood this would be the best one 9/10 keep and indeed put on right now
November 25, 2025 at 11:11 PM
much more attractive purple going on, but too snug and lightweight. think I probably got it from goodwill (they all come from goodwill for the most part) due to its idiosyncratic pearl buttons. not enough to save it. 3/10, toss
November 25, 2025 at 11:09 PM
terribly ugly, like, this pattern is too unpleasant to have been inflicted even on me in my 90s catholic school jumper days. but! perfect weight, good fit. ugly is actually a strength when it comes to lumberjack tartan. 8/10, keep
November 25, 2025 at 11:07 PM
have decided to do a purge of not very good flannels because they took up way too much space in my drawer. what follows is a very scientific ranking.

weird texture but nice weight. strangely stiff, cut short. makes you look like a steven universe background character. ultimately awkward. 4/10, toss

i'm gonna go back in time and show this to john harvey kellogg

november is just backwards march, but it's so much pleasanter. it's cozy to put the year to bed and a pain in the ass to drag it back out again
November 24, 2025 at 6:41 PM
time to brave the store crammed with people who never cook in service of the dullest meal of the year
