Extraordinarily weak (but very on brand) statement from Mamdani. The organizers of this protest call every Israeli a settler and a legitimate target of violence. We don't need to pretend this was about anything else, we just need to listen to what the organizers of this event are actually saying.
He failed on this one. You can be absolutely opposed to the settler movement and still oppose a grotesque effort like this. www.timesofisrael.com/after-protes...

This lesson — that nearly everyone acts in a self-interested manner and would gladly sacrifice a best friend if it helped them or their children — is useful. It impels me to act in manners that increase the odds of people not having to make these choices.
