I grew up in North Carolina and spent at least fifteen years of my life living here and today; I took public transit in this state for the first time. The experience was pretty good and very affordable.

I’m still trying to wrap my head around this news story. A school district in Florida gets a bunch of donated bikes to give to kids to help them get to school with the 2 mile walkshed. They get helmets and lessons in PE. I love it and I’m fearful at the same time.

Riding the Duwamish bike path today, we found a Port Authority crew doing maintenance. They parked their trucks on the path, completely blocking it. To be sure, these vehicles looked like they only brought the crew, no tools or materials. Our car-centric society just says this is ok.

This video bugs me. She drives. He takes light rail. She gets there ~20 min faster and claim she wins. Meanwhile, she’s gonna pay $40/day for parking plus gas and, well, she had to drive. Gross.

Hi new followers-
Several years ago I decided to start documenting how regularly people in my city of Seattle were getting hurt while trying to get around via walking or biking, in as close to real-time as possible.

In response to consistent feedback I'm going to continue on this platform.

There’s a lot of bike lanes filling up with leaves like this one and I keep wondering, are nearby businesses blowing them into the lane? 4th Ave is particularly bad right now.
