I have recently had the misfortune of reading books by Fox hosts and it's exactly the same thing. Easy to spot the bullshit if you think it through and are informed from other sources, but also very easy to get overwhelmed by the firehose. They move onto the next insane thing before you can think.

The lesson of January 6th is that it does absolutely no good to prosecute the the violent foot soldiers if you're not going to prosecute the leaders and hold them accountable for their sedition under the full force of the law.

I think it’s a reflection of their own attitudes. Both Biden and they were trying to live in a fantasy where those 4 years were a return to normalcy as opposed to the most urgent moment in American history to preserve what was left of democracy.
