I submitted my Threat Modeling for Privacy talk for Hacker Hotel. If that gets confirmed I'll have a big job updating it in accordance the current political climate. My, queer ass, threat model has changed and I need to prioritize the oppressive government as a threat actor.

Submitted my CFP for Hacker Hotel 2024: Threat Modeling for privacy and against stalkers. Do need to update it, after the last elections 'slightly oppressive government' is a potentially a much bigger threat than it used to be.

Interesting, Home Assistant has picked up a random BLE beacon that sits an estimated 30 meters from my house. Going from the uuid it's a Minew beacon, and I don't own one of those (that I know off).

Home Assistant is mostly set up, I now have come to the point that I have to start really reading the docs. But for now it works: the lights are are connected to Zigbee and my Hue Bridge is decommissioned.

Having a fancy expensive HP Z-Book with 'Audio by Bang & Olufsen' means I have the crappiest audio experience I ever had from a laptop. Speakers can't even handle human voice without buzzing.

It has come to the point that I do include my LinkedIn handle in my presentation but not my handle at the Platform Formerly Known As Twitter, because linkedin is actually more useful.
