Cis people getting gender affirming surgical care is really no different to trans people getting it. If your body develops in a way that conflicts with your gender, whether or not it matches your sex, it can cause dysphoria. Gender affirming care is the most humane and constructive care option.

Can we all encourage the rangatahi in our lives to enrol to vote & vote? The next election is crucial, & many have been very negatively affected by the current government. The low turnout for recent local elections saw losses of Māori wards. Too much harm can be done by abstention. Aroha nui ❤️

Sports teams, like the NZ Breakers basketball team, who refuse to support queer fans with symbols of pride, stop being safe for us. That refusal tells me I may not be safe at a team game or appearance. I will be cheering for an Australian basketball team this season. One that wears Pride 🏳️🌈
