My life experience is full of people who stopped drinking alcohol because we discovered cannabis, LSD, psilocybin, and MDMA.✌️
I personally don't know of anybody with alcohol issues who has ever used opiates just so they can keep drinking the toxic cleaning fluid.😱
Must be an American thing.

Can you drink your way sober?
