I tweet in 🇪🇸🇫🇷🇬🇧 which means you probably don’t want to follow me. I work in the energy industry so I might rant about that occasionally. Trophy husband. Groucho-Marxist.

@xtytelman.bsky.social je m’attendais à ça venant de la Hongrie, mais de la Belgique?! Franchement…
It was last week for us 😉
I don’t get it. I know tiktok people are really dumb, but you’d think attacks from Santos would be good for Mamdani. Unless the GOP wants him to win because it fits their wider narrative… 🤔
Fuck me I just realised that Nayta Lisaa is not a hashtag, it means read more 🤦
Thanks. I’ll watch it… in a year 😂

Slow Horses is okay for me. Enjoyable while I’m watching it (although less so in later seasons), but if you told me it’s been cancelled I wouldn’t miss it.
So far I’ve watched:

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Severance, Silo
⭐️⭐️⭐️ For All Mankind, Slow Horses
⭐️⭐️ Ted Lasso
⭐️ Foundation
For me, Apple TV is something I watch for free for a couple of months when there’s some kind of promo to try to lure me in. The timing is perfect because that way I can binge watch the shows I like, and then rinse and repeat one year later when the new seasons are out.
No, he knows exactly what he’s doing.

I don't think we're ready for American election interference. If they decide to really go for it, it'll make Russian efforts look like kindergarten

@gizmo4ps.bsky.social mira, otro aerotrastornado.
Convair B-58 Нustlеr 🧵

The B-58 was the most technologically advanced aircraft of its time. A Mach 2 capable, wasp-waisted war chariot, drawn by four J79s, that included silver brazed stainless steel honeycomb sandwich panels in its design.
That’s not like them.
The guy is the embodiment of the horseshoe theory.

All the tankies who were up in arms about Azov in Ukraine, are sooooo quiet about Platner now.
They would give him a cushy bs job on RT. They love to parade their useful idiots as if they were trophies (Snowden, Reade, Ritter, etc)
You have Arkansas, we have Leicester, Southwark, Gloucester, Norwich, Worcestershire…
They are not, they can complement each other nicely but I am very concerned by the lack of coherent energy policy in the UK. I see too much solar in the proposed mix (and that's coming from someone who installs it for a living) and the lack of clear investments in nuclear.
Domestic is one of the very few situations where solar shines (pun intended), especially when paired with a battery and -to a point- to a heat pump. It's one of the low hanging fruit I mentioned earlier, but try powering a factory with solar... It definitely helps, but we'd be lucky to get 20%.
If you start doing the math to try to power everything from solar to account for electrification of transportation and heating in the winter months you'll basically need solar PV farms literally the size of Wales. Wind is much better in winter of course (with some caveats).
And this is *to scale*, solar and wind overlaid on top of the generation pattern of nuclear. In Late June. On a fairly good year.
This is for solar. Note how it would approximate a sine wave in cartesian coordinates. Please note that France has about 25% more solar than the UK, and is farther South, so the yearly pattern would show less variation, and the average would be a fair bit higher than in the UK.
This is the generation pattern of wind over the same period of time.
