this isn’t crass. intranational refugees can’t all afford sf or portland or nyc. if your state claims to be a haven for huddled masses yearning to breathe free, it needs infrastructure to support them. what good is a safe state if you can’t afford to live in it & homelessness gets you jailed?🧵
this is going to sound crass but my main opinion on the recent vile, bigoted, deliberately anti-medical supreme court decision on trans care is that in the immediate term blue states have to rapidly build more housing and help people get here
