I'm constantly thinking about how my favorite BTS songs have changed in the last year.

I used to love the louder, harder songs, this week my faves are Take Two, Dimple, Yet to Come

This part! I am fully invested in electric cars with battery ranges so high that I can live in the middle of nowhere and not worry about battery range in the middle of winter.

But hallucinating environmentally damaging magic 8 balls that can't do anything I can't already do better? Hard pass.
"Is there technology the left is excited about?" is the kind of question you only ask if you're wildly naive about technology.

mRNA vaccines. Heat pumps. Offshore wind. Urban mining. Sodium batteries.

But god forbid we're not fawning over every new implementation of Making Computers Bad At Math.

I am mixed about this.

I love Kristen, I admire Jesse's growth and i'm trying to give Janet grace because of how she dragged Zarin on IG for days.

But Lauren from Utah can fall in a lava tube and i'm not interested in anything Brittany has to say.

I got called a "fucking bitch" by a boy who looked to be 10 or under in the grocery store recently because apparently I was in the way of his pushing off and riding the cart around the store? I think? It's getting scary.

Did people always pay their eel-rents? Hell no!

In 1250 the abbot of Tupeholm sued the nuns Stykeswald. The nuns owed the abbot a yearly rent of 6 sticks of eels, but hadn't paid for 3 years!

That's 450 eels, folks. Scandalous!

The nuns agreed to pay a fine, and life went on.

Look at all their pop art references to lord of the rings, star wars, star trek, superman etc. They completely miss the point of the most didactic material, the only reason they pretend to like classical art is they think it owns “lesser” people even though this is wholly stolen valor

The decline of right wing cultural production is just due to the fact that they don’t like culture, they like the signifiers of culture, ie “classic sculpture means white people are better.” They don’t like art at all except for this purpose. They don’t even like the nerd stuff they whine about

I say this as someone who loves technology but hates the tech industry - why do we have to love technology? why do we have to give something like AI clemency for its errors? It's a product we are being sold, it should have to earn our money or attention.
I can’t believe you lefty Luddites hate tech so much that you embrace mRNA vaccines, heat pumps, electric bikes, hybrid work, renewable power (and awesome advancements in storage), space telescopes, and hot/cold running water but reject the planet destroying plagiarism enrich the worst people bots!

I think a lot of this "the left doesn't get AI" or "you can't talk with the left about AI" originates with annoyance by libertarians and the right at people reminding them ethics and empathy should still matter in technology development and adoption, and it isn't just about "work flow efficiencies"

I like #SummerHouse but idk if i'm here for Kyle and Amanda doing the community theater version of The War of the Roses. 😬

I wish they could have stayed home and fought each other offscreen.

I know this is not how reality tv works, but like, their hatred of each other is uncomfortable.

I put potato, garlic, leek, watercress, peas, olive oil, vegetable stock into a pot, cooked and pureed it into soup.

It needs salt and pepper for sure, but i'm at a loss for what.

Lemon?

I am trying to keep it light and dairy free.
