Heartbreaking. The University of Nebraska will terminate its entire Earth science department.
One of the country's most successful and respected geology & climate programs: gone.

Awful decision - very disappointing.
Wow, the war on truth escalates... Seriously one of the issues we need to address after this crowd goes down is putting propaganda/lies outside the protections of free speech and making it illegal to produce fake/lying stories & call them news.
The US State Department is instructing its staff to deny visas to those engaged in activities like combatting misinformation, disinformation or false narratives, fact-checking, content moderation, compliance, and trust and safety.

And beyond that, if DOJ is struggling this hard to get an indictment, it's hard to believe their evidence is sufficient for a jury to convict at trial, using the "guilt beyond a reasonable doubt" standard the prosecution must meet.
By law, the Department of Justice CAN go to another grand jury and try again. But even if they succeed (a big IF in this case), the DOJ will have handed Letitia James even more evidence for her vindictive prosecution motion to dismiss the charges. And that motion was already quite strong.
A separate source familiar with the matter said there “should be no premature celebrations.”

Watching @alivitali.bsky.social and I’m begging folks to stop yielding to the idea that there are potential war crimes when there is no war— Congress hasn’t authorized military action. The DoD is simply ordering the execution of civilians in peace time. Crime against humanity is more apt.

I keep trying to find places to buy that don't donate R &/or are not notorious bad actors. I found out Petco doesn't donate politically at all. They have some great policies on bringing food back if pet doesn't like. They also do mail order if you don't have a store. www.petco.com/shop/en/petc...
