Why does a revolution or overthrow or massive change have to be socialist... or violent? Spain, Hungary. My point was abt the assumption billionaires are making that they can control ppl who aren't educated. Are you disagreeing w/ me about the education level of revolutionaries in 1789?

I suspect the reaction to being oppressed is similar regardless of the circumstances. And also that the reaction of one of the most privileged populations in the world to having gov't taking away income, health care, etc. may become explosive faster than it happened with generations of poor ppl

They also aren't owned by some larger bad actor as far as my digging has found so far. I'm really pleased b/c there aren't any locally owned pet shops here so a chain I feel ok about patronizing works for me.

To me that just makes it even less likely that taking away education is going to create the compliant populace they imagine they'd get.
