My keeper for the day: "Fascists don't deliver tax cuts, only misery."
Remember that when some electoral candidate is offering to cut your taxes.
Taxes are a way for all of us to get 'volume discounts' on health care/transportation systems/education/infrastructure.
You want that cut?
Wait until they’re disappeared.

Conservatives always find out too late that fascists don’t deliver tax cuts, only misery.
The Previews of these shots look good, but wait til you enlarge them to full size!

8/8 With the deals scrapped, a new competitive process is set for 2026.

But questions remain about how negotiations got this far—and this expensive—in the first place.

Right click or press and hold this > #ArtAdventCalendar and choose "See #ArtAdventCalendar posts"

It's a portal to a beautiful place that has nothing but art made by real humans.

I do encourage all #ArtAdventCalendar participants and admirers to repost/reskeet other artist's work. And follow those folks who's stuff connects with you. Building community is a big part of doing this.

Day 2
Unsure if this falls in the category for #ArtAdventCalendar but I think it's within the rules?
The problem; repair the sofa arm, after a decade of cat claws.
The process; an experiment with colourful vintage wool found at a thrift store.

I've been trying to figure out why I'm seeing #ArtAdventCalendar when it's not December. Turns out it IS December! 🤣

Guess I'll just jump in a day late! Here's a polymer clay peacock (currently available), entirely handmade with rhinestone eyes. Not painted, just colorful clay!

Yes, I had created most versions of this without any "annotations"! This one - with the overlay - was actually an exception!

My recent series is only rainbow-colored "fabrics", like this:

Now I know what to do to - pardon the pun - 'spruce up' the back yard as winter approaches.
This will provide us with 'prettiness' for months as the winter solstice approaches, then fades.
Bet it could be seasonally adjusted as spring/summer approaches too!

Using a lensball in photography was unfamiliar to me. But DM used it to their advantage in this simple brown/white image of the wintery season.
Simple and elegant.

Who's of an age that they remember Jacques Plante's knitting?
Practical art of knitting is appreciated by ppl like me, who lack Eric's skill/patience. Art can be simple or complex, reminding me of 2024 #ArtAdventCalendar item by Heidi Nick.
