Not really surprised about The Bad Guys 2 not being on the animation awards' radar this year, but I'd be lying if I said I wasn't a little salty seeing Elio's name for the Golden Globes nominations instead when there were so many other better alternatives.

Netflix has won the bidding war to purchase Warner Bros. Discovery.
The sale is not yet finalized, as the U.S. Department of Justice could also interfere due to anti-trust concerns.

So disclosure of bias: I think the professor's 100% justified in failing the student solely based on the essay's arguments.
However...as an English major who's gotten As on multiple papers that have quoted the Bible, framing this as a First Amendment violation is extra funny to me.

One of the reasons I've never bought into AI doomerism, is that to believe "it's here to stay, get used to it!" you have to buy into the idea that AI generated elements are so hardcoded or integral as to be permanent, when they really aren't.
You can simply remove it, and it's gone just like that.

Over the years I've grown to really dislike when the focus of someone's media criticism is toxic fan behavior surrounding it. Not just because of generalization but also because of how unfair it is to the people who worked on the media in question who have no control of that.
