Something I find is that as long as I don’t publicly engage on Twitter in any way — no posts, no replies, no retweeting, no liking, but DMs are allowed — then I am able to scroll Twitter for brief timespans without it hijacking my entire life.

I don’t understand what motivates the fentanyl dealers on my block. It’s physically unpleasant (it’s freezing cold), it must weigh on your conscience to sell to disturbed addicts, and you make very little money doing so (street fentanyl is only $1-$2 a hit and they make < 10 sales an hour).

Why is it assumed the money will improve public transit? MTA is not a competent organization.
i think rage at congestion pricing is a good example of how no one believes that the world can be positive sum anymore. like, people pay a small fee to get access to a faster commute — saving them valuable time — and the money improves public transit, saving other people valuable time. it's win-win!
