There's nothing special to the admin borders of Donetsk/Luhansk that makes them more desired by Ru than Kherson/Zaporizhzhia. All is Ukraine and Ru society knows it. The ask signals Ru wants to take the fortified Donetsk cities Ru hasn't conquered so he can launch a new attack on Kyiv when feasible.

I’m just sick. One of my students-a sweet, kind freshman came to my office yesterday. Through the sobs she told me how her brother, a 22 year old dreamer, brought to this country from Guatemala when he was a child, was abducted by three men on his way to work. They don’t know where he is.
