Next week Theatre History exam. Data analysis project & an event planning presentation too. And a midterm due this Sunday to boot. Good lord I'm gonna need time to tackle all of this proper so there's no Saturday stream. Thankful I can even do one tonight & spend time with Joe tomorrow.

I only got to truly see the brilliance of his games & the DoA community this year. This is bittersweet but I can't say he didn't leaves a lasting impact. Dead or Alive 2 being an all time favorite fighter. I still have Ninja Gaiden to experience. He really had a style all his own. RIP Itagaki.

Couldn't agree more! Voice acting is my way to continue my love of the performing arts even long after drama & musicals in high school are over for me. I can't see the world without it. A sandbox to go as big or as little as you want with no right answer. It's a true form of play without limits!

This industry is filled with stories of "I was unhappy in my adult life/work and now that I'm a voice actor (or other creative craft/field), I'm much happier."

And I'm quite certain that those folks longed for PLAY. That it had degraded over time, as "adulting" took over.

something about modern graphical fidelity has made fighting game stages worse in a way i cannot explain
the kof99 park stage is literally just a park in the rain but you can feel through the screen how painstakingly made it was, i feel like remaking this in a 3D game would be incredibly boring

Shadow of the colossus is one of my favorite games of all time. Joe & I were just recently talking about Parappa & Gitaroo man. Gravity Rush 1 & 2 were fantastic. I just have to face reality, the Sony of today will never be what I loved back then. PS4 was great though, just fell off a cliff smh

My biggest takeaway now that we've browsed the Next Fest offerings is that there is a lot of AI slop, and maybe 75% of these are using AI art for their store banners even if they're not disclosing any other use. It really makes things run together and looks awful.

As a lifelong Sony & Nintendo gamer. PS5 gave me buyer's remorse Year 1. All the things I loved were mostly Sony japan studio's works along with insomniac & naughty dog in previous eras. Astor Bot is the only thing left but I will most likely never buy a PS6. As a PC user, I'm better of waiting.
