Does anyone have todo list app recommendations? Preferably (in order of priority):

- not a subscription
- nested lists

hackers took over Notepad++ update servers and distributed a malicious update for the app. The update servers were vulnerable for roughly six months 😬 www.theverge.com/tech/872462/...
Notepad++ updates got hijacked for months and could have spied for China
The hack was resolved in a December update.

Through the magic of Making The Same Mistake Twice™, rsync creates directory structure and files when backing up to an external drive… but all of the files are zero bytes.

Today I learned this is not a file system type issue—it just happened backing up to an ext4-formatted drive
good news! I have finally organized all* of my openSCAD projects used to design things and published them on github

bad news! * = last week I wiped my laptop to upgrade fedora 42 -> 43 and switch KDE -> cosmic. I didn't need to wipe, I just felt like it. I failed to back up any of my projects!

If you can substitute "hungry ghost trapped in a jar" for "AI" in a sentence it's probably a valid use case for LLMs. Take "I have a bunch of hungry ghosts in jars, they mainly write SQL queries for me". Sure. Reasonable use case.

"My girlfriend is a hungry ghost I trapped in a jar"? No. Deranged.
