Over 100 years after independence, the State still can not provide a basic level of defence and remains dependent on the kindness of others.

Donald Trump’s first administration took an emotional toll on Rosie O’Donnell. She didn’t think she could endure a second term.

This time, O’Donnell had a plan: she moved to Ireland.

Her brother Eddie says it’s “the best decision she’s made, I think, in her life, honestly.” https://wapo.st/4oK2S2p

🚨BREAKING🚨

MPs have voted to PASS our bill to establish a UK-EU customs union.

The Prime Minister must now listen to his own MPs, drop his self-imposed red lines and finally go for proper growth through an ambitious trade deal with the EU.

Absolutely 💯 % agree.
Just sent out this post. For Europeans to start looking after their own security one step seems vital, they need to stop genuflecting to official Washington, which always "hopewashes" the policies of Donald Trump. Unless Europe can think for itself, it will fail. open.substack.com/pub/phillips...

my great-grandparents arrived in the UK in the 1890s with nothing.
they sold pickles from the front room window, took in laundry, worked as tailors.
their children were nurses, teachers, salesmen.
their grandchildren were professors, designers, opticians, doctors, magistrates, entrepreneurs.
This is so disgusting.

The only time Article 5 of the NATO Treaty was invoked was to defend us, not for us to defend Europe. European soldiers and civilians died fighting with us and working next to us in Afghanistan. Europe was not attacked on September 11, 2001.
