Religion note: there's a longstanding theological debate over whether Jesus would classify* as a refugee today (or, say, an Internally Displaced Person), but liberal Christians have noted to me that recent history further complicates their critics' position, as DHS has also detained U.S. citizens.

There was a period where I think most people kind of just shrugged and went "okay well that was a dire period, and the new generation of journalists aren't for that bollocks", but not only has the Daily Record never apologised for running a homophobic campaign, it's back again for trans folk.
