'New Perspectives on Gillian Clarke' by Linden Peach is the first extensive examination of Clarke's work published in this century, discussing her as an innovative, politically-alert and scientifically- and cosmologically-aware Welsh writer of global significance.

Please do have a read of some of David Graeber's words on the policy of Universal Basic Income.

Can’t quite believe it’s done but it’s done.

Two years of translating and unpicking (and growing a human somewhere in the middle) the most bizarre yet brilliant manifesto by Dr William Price: Gwyllllis yn Nayd.

Spoilers: these aren’t the ravings of a lunatic as previous biographers have concluded.

Just hoping that one day soon, people will tire of targeting and terrifying asylum seekers and instead, they will turn on politicians who whip up hatred and division to grab at power for themselves…
They are the ones who are failing us.
Not these people.
Prejudice can never make anyone’s life better

An impressive Plaid victory in Caerphilly. A 27% swing from Lab to Plaid. Welsh Labour's dominance crumbling. The limits of Farage & Reform's appeal underlined. Maybe the Westminster commentariat can now stop talking abt the unstoppable momentum behind Farage. Reform are beatable.

The extent to which the news media cycle is focusing on Reform rather than the wider strategic goals of Plaid Cymru as the party that actually won is a sign that much of the media and political establishment is going to again end up blindsided by trends that were visible long before
That scene of the Welsh BBC correspondent being the only person interviewing Caerphilly's new Plaid AM while the rest of the media interviewed Reform's loser in the background was far too on the nose.

Llongyfarchiadau Lyndsay Whittle and @plaidcymru.bsky.social ! Lyndsay will do a great job of representing his constituents.

Thank you to all those in Caerffili who voted against the snake oil salesmen of the far right. Their politics of hatred and division has no place in our communities.
