Three years ago, we welcomed this sweet boi to the menagerie. Mom loved him so much, and Dad just couldn’t take care of him anymore, so he came to us.

There are times he’s been the only thing keeping me going these past 18 months.

The winner of that race, Donald “Buz” Lukens, represented the 8th District of Ohio in the late 1980s. He resigned after being charged with contributing to the delinquency of a minor. He slept with a 16-year-old girl.

He was followed in office by John Boehner.

Divorce was an absolute no-no to my mother…until my sister-in-law left my brother and then “she cheated on him.” Drinking was a sign of moral failure to my mother…until another brother got DUIs and then “needs our help.”

I was given no such grace for working in a Methodist church 1996-98.

This is accurate. Of course, CofC will schism over *anything*. The big schisms were instrumental music and missionary societies, but Sunday school vs. Bible study and kitchens happened too. Hell, capitalization of the c in “Church” has caused separations.

i have very little patience for people negatively polarizing against somebody good because you found somebody you like even better. we have multiple strong candidates in the Maine primary. whoever wins will be a good nominee.
