It could be interesting that this movie subverts the usual trope. Typically the mom would be the one who knows something is wrong and the dad doesn't believe her. But they don't really do anything with this.

I think this is only thing I've seen Grant Show in this century. A lot of the Melrose Place cast didn't do much after their time on the show. I think it was pretty much just Marcia Cross and Kristen Davis.

I know it's developmentally normal for teenagers to be kind of bratty and difficult. Especially when there's a stressor, such as parents divorcing. But sometimes movies exaggerate how shitty teenagers are and Hannah is one of those times.

This movie is so efficient. If it were made today, it'd be a bloated 2 1/2 hours and contain multiple expository flashbacks and pointless scenes with the side characters.

I know Stand By Me is probably the best regarded coming of age movies of the 80s and 90s and fair enough, but this was always my favorite. Maybe because I could relate better to girls.
